One of the things I hear often, as a Beachbody coach, is to "be a product of the product". I equate that to "walking the walk". Anyone can talk about "going for a run" or scheduling their workout every day at a set time. But how about those times when that alarm goes off and it's still dark and your treadmill is staring at you? How do you find it within you to get out of that warm bed and do what you "said" you'd do. You do it because it's become a habit. You do it because you know that while those first few moments are going to be hard but the reward after you finish will be priceless. You do it because you believe in the process. It takes time, it takes dedication, it takes work.
I started this blog, because I was confident that the Beachbody workouts would help me become a better triathlete. P90X2? Absolutely!!! It's touted as such, increase core strength, and balance, both things that will help me in my sports. Chalean Extreme? Yes, endurance athletes have known for years that incorporating strength work, in the off season, will help your endurance and reduce injury. Insanity? It's all cardio, baby! And it's going to help me drop that excess fat which will help me get faster. And since nutrition is so critical, I drink Shakeology. I use it as my recovery drink. It has many benefits, too many to go into here. But suffice to say, I chatted with one of the co-creators of it and I know how those ingredients will help my game.
Could you get faster, get a strong core, build your endurance and drop fat without using Beachbody products? Absolutely!!! However, it would take you a great deal of time, to learn the science behind how to put together workouts. I learned, the hard way about just throwing together a couple workouts Kris had put together for me. I ended up getting injured and not working out for a couple weeks, I had over done it. It takes time and skill to put together these workouts. And I'll be honest, I don't have that time! I'd rather be swimming or biking or running or hiking. And I certainly don't have the knowledge required. But luckily for me, I don't need to.
Beachbody workouts and shakeology don't promise you a "magic body" overnight. And anyone who does make those kind of promises is just trying to play on your fears. Your fear that you'll never lose the weight or get faster or gain the muscle. Beachbody not only tells you it will take time and effort but shows you it will. There are amazing transformations that occur with folks using these products. And I plan on being one of them.
