The Journey

ok, and the bad news is..

it wasn't the "click" I was hoping for.  I tried again and I can swim an entire lap.  However, and this is huge, it's with great difficulty on the breathing part.  So, it was with great hope that I watched Lesson 1 of the Total Immersion DVD.  And yesterday I started to practice what I watched.  Of course, I have NO patience, so I rushed past the "easy" stuff and went right to the core rotation and failed fabulously!  So, today I went back to the start and tried again.  I learned that unless I'm kicking constantly, my feet sink (I stopped using flippers for the lessons).  I, also, learned that when I turn my core and try to breathe, I inhale water.  That was a lesson that I learned over and over and over again this morning.  It was a bit frustrating!!  But I wasn't ready to give up.

So, since I didn't have to work today, I got online and posted on the TI forum.  Recieved some great advice.  The best being, I can go on to the next lesson without conquering the breathing part of lesson 1!  I was so worried I'd have to just stop and not progress.  Tomorrow I'm going to work on the core rotation with the new ideas I've recieved from the forum.

My workouts are starting to increase, I'm not only doing Chalean Extreme but swimming and starting to lift, so I am feeling a bit more tired at the end of the day.  So, I decided to get some of TBB's Recovery formula.  In the next few days, I'll do a little review on it.  I asked Kris about it and she thought it would be a good idea.  Especially since I'm working two physical jobs in addition to my workouts.

I'll report back about how the new concepts work out in my swimming!!
